Movie Rating

I went to see the movie "Wedding Crashers" today. I would strongly advise everyone who likes comedies to see this movie. I havent lauged as hard as I did at this movie in a long time. Vince Vaughn was brilliant in this movie, as he usually is. Owen Wilson added his "style" of comedy to the film also. I would give this film a 10 out of 10!

Executed Man's Case Re-opened

10 years after execution, 25 years since killing, Prosecutors have decided to re-open Larry Griffin's case. Mr. Griffin was convicted in 1981 of the murder of a 19 year old drug dealer Quintin Moss. There was a 2nd victim of the shooting named Wallace Conners, now 52 was quoted as stating "I'll tell you all, Larry Griffin did not commit this crime, Larry Griffin was definitely not in the car." I would say it's a little late now, what a shame if this story is true. What do you think?

"Worth it"??

While trying to reverse public support of the war in Iraq president bush said that the sacrifices are "worth it" and "vital to the future security of our country" He also said there will be no withdrawal timetable. " We will stay in Iraq as long as we are needed and not a day longer" My best guess at a timetable for leaving would be somewhere around NEVER!!!!! What do you think??

You Know you're living in 2005 when...

1. You accidentally enter your password on the microwave.

2. You haven't played solitaire with real cards in years.

3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of 3.

4. You e-mail the person who works at the desk next to you.

5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that they don't have e-mail addresses.

6. You go home after a long day at work you still answer the phone in a business manner.

7. You make phone calls from home and you accidentally dial "9" to get an outside line.

8. You've sat at the same desk for four years and worked for three different companies.

10. You learn about your redundancy on the 11 o'clock news.

11. Your boss doesn't have the ability to do your job.

12. You pull up in your own driveway and use your cell phone to see if anyone is home.

13. Every commercial on television has a website at the bottom of the screen.

14. Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn't have the first 20 or 30 (or 60) years of your life, is now a cause for panic and you turn around and go get it.

15. You get up in the morning and go online before getting your starbucks.

16. You start tilting your head sideways to smile :)

17. You're reading this and nodding and laughing.

18. Even worse, you know exactly to whom you are going to forward this message to.

19. You are too busy to notice there was no #9 on this list.

20. You actually scrolled back up to check that there was no #9 on this list and now you're laughing at yourself.

Technology...What's Next?!

I think the next type of cell phones that will be coming out will have the option of having video conferencing on them. In other words you will be able to see who your talking to and they will be able to see you, all in real-time. At first I thought that sounded pretty cool, but I have spoken to a few people and they opened my eyes to some new ideas. Like one person said "I would hate that, because what if I was talking while I was on the toilet?" I thought that's one way to look at it, I guess. Another person said to me "What if I was calling in sick to work or cheating on my wife/husband I wouldn't want them to see where I was at." So all in all I guess maybe that wouldn't be such a good thing. What do you think.

"Quote" of the Day

-- "For a list of all the ways technology has failed to improve the quality of life, please press three" --, Alice Kahn I'm not saying technology is bad, in fact I love technology (I'm a big fan.) But c'mon we all hate calling places and talking to computers. I mean who doesn't want to talk to an actual person? I always pust 0 so I can talk to the operator, don't you?

Weird News!

I've heard of people getting DUI's, I mean who hasn't right? But I have never heard of anyone getting 2 DUI's in the same Day. It seems that a police chief from Strasburg, VA was arrested twice in the same day for DUI charges. I couldn't believe it when I heard this news. For more info CLICK HERE

Would You Vote For a Female President?

I think I might vote for a female president, maybe. Could you imagine? But then again I thought that Kerry had a chance too. I don't know, I think I would rather see a woman like Hilary Clinton in the white house than Jeb Bush or The Terminator.More Info on this Subject

Legend Dies...

I recently used a quote from Hunter S. Thompson, because I thought it was funny. At the time I did not realize that he would take his own life on Sunday. I found another quote that that I thought would be fitting for this sad day. --"We'd be fools not to ride this strange torpedo to the end" -- Hunter S. Thompson (1939-2005) Well he definitely did that.

Cancelled Season...

Yesterday, the NHL season was cancelled. I'm not that big of a hockey fan, But I do like the Redwings. I just think that it isn't fair to the fans. I personally would like to see hockey come back next season, and then all the fans take a season off. Not go to any games, or watch any games at all. Then the NHL can fight over all the revenue they will earn when the most important part of sports isn't around.... THE FANS!

"Quote" of the day

-- "I want to find a voracious, small-minded predator and name it after the IRS." -- Robert Bakker, paleontologist. I think everyone can agree with this quote. If you don't agree right now, you'll probably agree the next time you get a paycheck.

"Quote" of the day

---"Someone had told me that the grass is always greener on the other side, I told her why don't you try your own grass then!" --- This quote was submitted by a wise man named P.L. After hearing this quote I came to the conclusion that before you make a move to something new in your life, maybe you should put some work into whatever it is you are running from.

So what's the deal With...

High speed Internet? I was recently thinking of switching from Dial-up to Broadband. I also want to keep AOL though. Therein lies the problem. I think that there should be a way that you can get broadband directly through AoL. Instead of paying 2 separate bills, to me that is just stupid. Is there a way to get broadband or DSL directly through AOL, without some third party company taking even more of my money? Oh yah Happy Valentines day everybody.
